Developing the existing airport in Nagpur to international standards and making it a unique Multi-Modal International Passenger & Cargo Hub Airport in the world. Aircraft giant Boeing is developing a $100 million regional maintenance, repear and overhaul (MRO). The Multi-modal Airport would be connected to the Rail and Road Terminal for passengers and cargo, hence crating a multi-modal concept.
the existing airport of 400 hectares would be expanded to 1364 hectares. The project consists of widening and extending the present runway (3200 meters x 45 meters) to (3600 meters x 45 meters) to meet international standards. Also it will have provision for a similar runway (4000 x 60 m) in the future. The airport will have parking space for 50 aircraft at any time with 50 additional bays at fringe areas. An airport terminal building in semi-circular shape with conductive weather dynamics will have total area of 3 million sq.ft. Project is also building a separate cargo complex for handling and transferring cargo to-and-fro from airport.
MIHAN Growth Engine of IT Industry
Information Technology Park (IT.Park)– Developing a state-of-the-art Information Technology Park covering an area of about 500 Ha., It would meet all the requirements of setting and operating an IT industry.
IT giants like TCS,Satyam,Hexaware,HCL and Wipro have already taken land in MIHAN SEZ, Nagpur.
Nagpur favored destination for IT/ITES, BPO Operations. There are around 63 IT companies operating in Nagpur out of these approximately 70% are in the IT services space and around 30% in the ITES-BPO out of 50% are into medical transcrip-tion and the rest are mainly in data processing.

Special Economic Zone (SEZ) – Spread over an area of 2086 Hectares. The SEZ adjacent to the Nagpur airport will be an added advantage and trigger development of various activities in the region, with ample business incentives, trade concession and single window operation creating an efficient environment, committed entirely to do business.
It is a largest multi-product SEZ in India. Out of 2086 hectares, 1472 hectares would be used by various processing units to be set-up and remaining 614 hectares for service sector unit. Like all SEZs it will have financial incentives and soft taxation policy to attract investment. The initial set-up material for these units and later raw material will be duty-free.

Information technology park spread over 500 hectares and would include all necessary infrastructure for IT companies.
Health city spread over 40 hectares that will have multi-specialty hospitals along with training institutes for nurses and medical technicials.
